Rare Book and Manuscript Curator

I am a rare book curator with a PhD in medieval studies. Having worked with private rare book collectors and antiquarian booksellers, I currently serve as the curator of pre-modern special collection materials at Syracuse University Libraries. My research interests span cross-cultural encounters through the lens of book history, pre-modern medicine, and the intersection between early modern ideas about nationhood and typography. I have been awarded fellowships by Rare Book School (UVA), Herzog August Bibliothek (Wolfenbüttel, Germany), the Berlin State Library (Germany), and CENDARI (Collaborative European Digital Archive Infrastructure).I am a member of the Rare Books and Manuscripts Section of the ALA, the Bibliographical Society of America, and the Grolier Club.
